Welcome to Camaboom, today I bring you the Biography of Sinach.

May her soul rest in peace, Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu was born on 30th of March 1972 in Ebonyi state of Nigeria and died on the 8th of April 2022.

She goes by her stage name Sinach because it is easy to pronounce and adds that the name is catchy.

The first singer-songwriter to top the Billboard singer-songwriter chart for 12 weeks in a row.

She is also the first Nigerian to win the GMA Dove Awards and it happened to be on the 51st ceremony.

She became the first recipient of the LIMA Songwriter of the Decade Award owing to her contribution to the gospel music industry.

She was once listed as top 100 most influential Christians in Nigeria.

She was a singer, songwriter and worship leader who is endowed with vocals that many would spend a fortune for.

Singing was instilled in her as a hobby when she performed in front of her family and friends .

All this while she was working as a staff in a church .

She is a graduate of Port Hacourt River State .

Prior to her first Album Chapter one released in 2008,she had already written and sang an array of beautiful songs of praises.

‘This is your season’ one of the songs of her album won song of the year in 2008.

She has been active for 28 years and in the process written and sang more than 200 songs with 13 Albums .Her final release was in 2021 called Live at Ester as on 8th April 2022, she passed on.

She goes down as a pace setter having pioneered so much in the music industry and inspired generations .

She is the emblem of globalization with her music spanning continents through touring and performing in a little over 50 countries

She was famous after featuring Prospa in Ekueme GOSPEL worship song.
